
NEDS EARLY CAREER DERMATOLOGIST MENTORSHIP AWARD
APPLICANTS ARE INVITED TO APPLY BY APRIL 30, 2026 (YEAR 3)
ELIGIBILITY:
Any active* NEDS physician member (New England-based) in dermatology practice for less than 10 years is eligible to apply for a 'live' or virtual mentorship experience.
Project mentors are not required to be a NEDS (active) physician member or to be based in New England.
Note: Dermatology Residents and Fellows are NOT eligible to apply for this award. They should apply instead for a NEDS Preceptorship award. NEDS Preceptorship Program
AWARD DETAILS:
Up to $ 3,500 per award to cover project, travel and lodging expenses
Each award covers up to 1 week of mentored research, clinical or other educational project with a mentor.
There are NO restrictions on project location.
PROJECT DETAILS:
A written project outcome is required.
Each awardee is expected to make a 3-5 minute presentation on their project at a 2026-2027 NEDS meeting following the completion of their project.
TIMEFRAMES:
Grant awardees will be announced at the Fall 2026 Clinical Meeting.
Year 3 projects to be completed by Spring/Summer of 2027.

*An active NEDS physician member pays annual membership dues and their NEDS membership dues must be up-to-date for 2025-2026 in order to apply.
